Salzburg Photos: Spires of the City

Yes, another view of the Altstadt (Old Town). Just like the picture two photos earlier in this gallery, this view was taken from the Humboldt Plattform, a look-out on the Mönchsberg. Here you can see the Kollegienkirche or Collegiate church in its full glory, supplemented with the Salzburger Dom. In the left part of the picture, you can see the Neue Residenz building with the carillion (Salzburger Glockenspiel) and the yellow building with the cupola in the background is the Kajetanerkirche (Cajetan Church). The forests in the background are at the base of Mount Gaisberg, an important recreational area for Salzburg.
