The website www.visit-salzburg.net was designed by locals from Salzburg to provide visitors with independent information in English about the city of Salzburg and its surroundings. The website is private property and all contents are copyrighted (see imprint below). "Locals" means in particular...
Andrea Roithmayr initiated this website and is responsible for most of its contents. She is the main editor and in her "real life" a student at the University of Salzburg. She spent parts of her childhood in Zell am See and Kaprun.
Mag. Markus Friembichler is a writing for this website on a freelance basis, which makes a really good excuse for not writing much at all. Beyond website development, he is a teacher in Salzburg and has lived there ever since he was born. He enjoys hiking and is particularly fond of the Lammertal and the area around Annaberg-Lungötz.
Martin Eder is a student in Salzburg and interested in web design and photography. He is responsible for the technology behind this website and some of the photographs displayed. He lived in the skiing town of Saalbach-Hinterglemm for many years.
Benedikt Mandl is a journalist from Neumarkt in the Salzburger Seenland, has a PhD in neurobiology and helps at this website with photography, technical advice and search engine optimisation. Google "Salzburg" and you will see that he did an excellent job on the latter task.
