Things to Do in Dorfgastein

Dorfgastein is a year-round travel destination with very well-developed facilities: Skiing in winter, hiking in summer, other Alpine sports throughout the year. Nearby Bad Gastein has been a spa town ever since the late 19th century and offers some sights; there is a casino and a convention centre. All of the Gasteinertal Valley is very touristy, especially during peak seasons. The thermal springs and medical spa facilities of the area are important assets of the valley, too, and gave rise to many spa holiday places.
