Spires in the Old Town of Salzburg

A little spire array. From left to right, you see a corner of the Hohensalzburg Fortress, the cupola of the Salzburg Cathedral (the so-called Salzburg Dome), the two towers of the very same cathedral and the pink tower of the Rococo church Michaelskirche. Underneath the pink church, you see a bit of the roof of Cafe Demel, the former Cafe Glockenspiel. The picture was taken on a crisp and cold winter day in 2010 and we could go on to tell you more about the history of the buildings depicted, but we rather don't, since this is a nice but not spectacular picture. The buildings shown, by the way, frame the Residenzplatz with the famous Residenzbrunnen fountain.
