return to "summer
photos"

The church of St. Sebastian as seen from the
Kapuzinerberg Mountain. St. Sebastian is home to one of Salzburg′s most famous cemeteries, including celebrity corpses such as Konstanze Nissen (Mozart′s widow), Leopold Mozart (Wolfgang Amadeus′ father and first teacher), the
alchemist and doctor Paracelsus and the
Prince Archbishop Wolf-Dietrich von Raitenau, father of Salzburg′s Baroque architecture. The latter one occupies an enormous tomb in the centre of the cemetery.
