Salzburgerland coat of arms, an Austrian province


 
Salzburg is not only the most beautiful city of Austria, it is also the name of one of Austria′s provinces, a "Bundesland". The coat of arms of Salzburg province can be spotted at many small places - like on this picture, at a memorial site of a veteran′s association called "Kameradschaftsbund". The federal province is approximately the same size as the historic diocese and pricipality that was ruled by the powerful and wealthy Prince Archbishops of Salzburg.
