Two nuns enjoying the view on Salzburg and surroundings


 
These two nuns are enjoying the view on Salzburg's city centre with the Hohensalzburg Fortress in front of the Hagengebirge Mountain Range just before sunset. The picture was taken near the Basilica Maria Plain, a church of pilgrimage. Maria Plain is situated on a prominent hill and visible from almost anywhere in Salzburg. Since the Baroque basilica is in the immediate surroundings of Salzburg, one can get there rather easily with city busses and a short walk ascending to the calvary mount.
