Salzburg Photos: Baroque Lamb in the Mirabell Garden

A lamb seeming to climb a stone vase at Mirabell Palace. We decided to include this picture not only because we like the motive and composition, but also because we have a similar photograph of the same lamb in our summer photos. The follies and masonry of Mirabell Palace and the Mirabell Gardens are full with little details like this. It is worth staying there for a while and exploring all corners of the park, instead of just rushing through like most tourists do. Note for example also the poems by Georg Trakl that are engraved in stones at the walls. The palace itself is only partly accessible for the general public, since it severs as the city hall of Salzburg.
