Salzburg Photos: Christmas Ornaments

Christmas ornaments are among the most common goods sold on Christmas Markets in Salzburg and elsewhere in Austria. Even though many follow traditional patterns and styles, a lot of these ornaments are actually made in China these days - in fact, all of the things displayed in this picture follow into this category, as our photographer realised upon closer inspection. That being said, we suspect that the real money at Christmas markets is made wtih consumables, such as mulled wine (Glühwein), Punsch (sort of a grog with tea) and similar "adult beverages" rather than through the sale of ornaments.
